Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how BinaryCraft processes personal data in connection with https://mysynqhub.com and the Services, in accordance with the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and applicable Belgian law.

2. Data Protection Officer (DPO)

3. Personal data we collect

• Identity data: name, username, profile picture (if provided), short bio and profile information you choose to share.
• Account data: email, password (hashed), preferences, settings, account status.
• Usage data: security logs, timestamps of key actions (login, settings changes), feature usage (to operate and secure the service).
• Technical data: IP address, user-agent, session identifiers, device information.
• User content: posts, messages, uploaded files (depending on features you use).
• Social login data (optional): if you sign in with Google, we receive limited information such as email and basic profile info (subject to what you authorize). Similar principles apply if Facebook login is enabled in the future.
• Billing data: currently not applicable (no payments at this time). If paid plans are introduced, billing data (name/address/VAT, invoices) may be processed; payment card data would be handled by the payment provider and not stored by us.

4. Purposes and legal bases

• Service delivery / contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): account creation, access to features, user support, providing the social network and project partner discovery services.
• Legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)): if/when billing is activated, accounting and tax compliance.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): security, fraud/abuse prevention, service reliability, internal diagnostics and improvement (balanced against your rights).
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): non-essential cookies/trackers (if any) and optional features where required.

5. Recipients

Your data may be processed by:

• the operator of BinaryCraft (Pascal de Sélys);
• hosting provider: Contabo (infrastructure hosting);
• third-party identity providers (only if you choose to use them): Google (social login). A Facebook page may link to the service; if Facebook login is enabled later, Meta would be involved similarly.
• competent authorities where required by law.

6. International transfers (outside the EEA)

BinaryCraft does not intentionally transfer your data outside the EEA for core hosting (Contabo is EU-based). However, if you choose to sign in with Google (or later Facebook), those providers may process data outside the EEA. Where applicable, transfers may rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (for participating companies) and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Retention

• Active account: for the duration of your use of the Services.
• Inactive account: deletion/anonymization after 24 months of inactivity, unless you keep using the account or legal obligations require longer retention.
• Security logs: up to 12 months (unless needed longer for security incident handling).
• Invoices/accounting (if/when billing starts): typically retained for up to 10 years to comply with applicable obligations.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Data download: the Services include a feature to download your user data (where available) to support portability and transparency.

9. Supervisory authority (Belgium)

Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA). You may lodge a complaint with the APD/GBA if you believe your rights are infringed.

10. Security

BinaryCraft implements appropriate technical and organizational measures (access control, encryption in transit, logging, backups, etc.). No system is 100% secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

11. Children

The Services are not intended for children under 13 years old. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal data without required authorization, we will delete such data.
